Wordpress Page Order

First you need to find a good model you like. There are many free websites WordPress template. It's easy to find Go to Google or other search engine bookmark and perform a search for "Wordpress templates" or "Free WordPress Themes.

Static site rarely need WordPress blog of the articles as calendars or files, etc. A simple solution is to navigate the WordPress administration panel to design> widgets. You can then add or subtract the widgets you want and can make the lateral aspect exactly as you want. Thus you must not touch any code.

Now for plugins. I recommend these basic accessories.:

Add the all in one SEO plugin.

Add plugin privacy policy. Optional but always have a privacy policy on my sites.

Add a plugin if desired site. This is very good for search engines to find all content.

Adding a Google sitemap and register it with Google. This is very important and will help you do well in Google.

If you want AdSense or affiliate banners add the snap Ad Manager or any of the WordPress plugins available. I like and use the ad manager. It is very versatile and can also be used to easily add other types of flags to one page and control panel administration. With the ad manager who also need the PHP Exec plugin. This is very important that if they are to hard code included in the template. I use it to add flags to your sidebar through the widget widgets and text. If you do not know what this means then you can forget.

Find the WordPress.org plugins or do a search on Google for each of the above plugins. If I'm looking for some kind of plug they usually do a Google search for "keyword" then "WordPress plugin." I always browse the page of the authors of the latest plugin and instructions on how to use the plugin.

Activate the plugins in your WordPress admin panel. They lie at the plugins link to the right if you are using WordPress 2.5. Again, I recommend you read the instructions on the individual sites plugin author about how to use every WordPress plugin.

Create a page. Label what you want. Scroll down the page of writing panel for the "all in one seo" and to add keywords and description of your page. This is the same as adding keywords and descriptions to target content at the head of your template.

Scroll down a little more to the comments of the whistles and uncheck "Allow Comments" so you will not see a picture feedback from users. I want my site to look like a static site, so it needs no comment. If you want to also uncheck Allow Pings. Depends on you. Always control of both.

In the bottom of the page you will see a "page order" zone. If you want to have a certain order to their pages in the menu on your category and then the name of the page you want on the top menu 1, then the next page to create 2, etc. Later, you can change the order of your pages by using this feature. This is good so maybe a sales page will be on top.

They also tend to use subcategories of the Fathers – Son of a batch. As an example, I'll make a page called "Articles" and then add the pages of different items, as a subcategory of the articles. Then add some kind of introduction to the main page article and other items easily accessible from the main article page. A nice touch for me is that I like to find a template that has a horizontal menu bar with dropdown menus. I think it looks very kind. For me everything is clean and tidy then. But this technique depends on you.

In the WordPress administration panel go to Settings> Reading. At the top you will see the settings for the reading. So, "shows the first page." On the first page displays the check button radio "A static page (select below)" and after the fall of the first page, click the dropdown menu of the page want to use for your first page. This page is usually the name of welcome or I will add a keyword rich title. If you do not want any title left blank.

With only these small changes to make the start of a static website with WordPress. The key is to use pages instead of posts, add keywords and descriptions through "all in one seo" and your site is a static website very good. Remember that you can control the shape of the bar lateral views with the widgets.

Do not choose templates that make use of the property initially marked WordPress. Some of these templates are called themes newspaper. It is a little harder to do and take a little longer to understand. Once you master the basic point then you can branch out and try labeling characteristics of WordPress.

You can add to this basic formula to make your site more user friendly. Again, the suggestions above will give you a static basis and great looking website.
