Just got done with a great interview with Alana Taylor. Alana writes for Mashable.com, her own blog, is a Twitter master, social media networking whiz kid, and consults with Classic Media, Inc. on their social media presence.
All at the ripe old age of 20. Oh, and she manages to fit in her classes at NYU as a journalism major.
Feel bad yet? Wait till you hear how fast she made things happen for herself online and pick up some excellent tips on how you can do it too!

“If you are sitting in you’re room, no one is gonna know who you are or what you do” Helluva key point.
All in all, I never laughed so much listening to a Webside Chat. Great interview. Everyone should have a listen. This interview is JAM packed with fresh perspective, humor, and great advice on the real world/ virtual tool connection from someone who’s in the trenches and actually doing big things.
How’d you like her Jack? Cool as I said, right?

That was a great interview! It’s nice to be able to see things through the eyes of 20 yr old. How cool would it be if more of her generation were taking her advice and using technology and social media to their benefit!
It would be fun to have her back again!
@Chris – Yeah, I like the way the younger generation thinks about all this stuff. What struck me most was she’s having fun while creating great opportunities for herself. You guys live in a whole different world than I did when I was 20. Lucky dogs!
@Anissa – Would be a lot less depressing being in college right now thinking you had more options ahead of you than an extremely tough job market!
@Jack Dude. Had I been at this level of involvement with blogs and ASC/BlogSuccess crew even a year ago … I would have applied to city school because of Alana and just stick around her. I’m not an envious guy, but that kind of experience is something to be desired.
I’m up 500 miles from home in the middle of nowheres-ville New York trying to carve out a college kid life and pursue my business dreams away from the spotlights in New York City, my home … I could just go on and on.
Has anyone had a chance to listen? Thoughts? Does FTR love Alana or what?

Man to be 20 again! Of course the Internet was not even available publicly then. I’m with you Jack it is neat to listen to a kids perspective….just out having a good time doing what she wants and pulling in a little $$ for playing. Sounds like a good gig! Thanks for the chat.
