Twitter Archive Search, The Bling Ring, Sorry Bit.ly

by Jack Humphrey on Apr 16

  1. Twitter shakes things up this week launching its new URL shortening service (sorry Bit.ly).
  2. Google launches a Twitter archives search (good research tool there!)
  3. Microsoft tries to be cool with “KIN”
  4. Ning shuts down free social service.
  5. Take a listen – we had an “after show” this week as there was too much to cover in 30 minutes!

The Twitter tool is absolutely the best in helping someone with an established base clean up old inactive users. Now if there were something for facebook that was equally as effective and easy to use. As far as the shortner service goes I’ve never understood why they just didn’t develop their own in house.

    Hi
Twitter is too good to post your blogs and comments and I really loves to serve it.

The whole URL shortening industry makes me really wonder whether it is indeed as useful as it appears to be. As soon as Twitter launches their own URL shortener Bit.ly is dead. Period.
