If there's one thing I truly believe in, it is the power of forgiveness (not that I am always good at it...) In fact, I may well write a book on the subject one day! You see, when you forgive someone for something, you also forgive yourself for your role in it (whether passive or active) AND you give yourself permission to "move on" and heal yourself of the pain and stress that hatred and anger causes. Like you, in the past, I left a marriage because I wasn't happy, but in order to truly move on, I had to forgive her AND myself for our roles in this unhappiness. I can't begin to tell you how healing and powerful that was, so I know you know exactly what you're talking about.
