The one about Twitter valuation, Google’s rumored answer to Facebook, and tablets…

Remember Friends?  Great show.  They always started every title of their episodes with “The one about…”  Think I’ll play with that title scheme for awhile.

Today’s show includes discussion around what makes a social site a success, eye of the beholder, why Facebook won’t just go away, and how Google is possibly planning a direct competitor in a reported “Google Me” social community.

Also, what I want to see in a tablet PC and how I think tablets are here to stay.  Along with ideas on how they’d be used in sales and marketing online and off.

    Google is smart for trying to get into social. Google Buzz was a good test and probably gives them ideas, but an entire social network will be very interesting to see.

    I believe google will make it big with a social site since they already have a user database of millions of people. It may not be a problem for Facebook instantly but it will eventually.

    I think I would like to sit back and watch how successful Google’s supposed Facebook competitor performs. They may understand the web better than anyone else, but it remains to be seen if they can convince people to join them instead of Facebook.

    Im not a fan of google buzz and i probably won’t buy a new social site from google either. but let’s see.
