Most of those girls are just me messing with you. I got their pics from IstockPhoto.com. Sorry man. Didn't know you'd take it so seriously. :)

Jack,

"I think only time will tell. Getting thousands of Warriors, some dating back to the beginning, to adopt Facebook or some other place SEEMS impossible. But then there are a lot of them on John’s friend list now, so who knows?

Allen Says didn’t get on Facebook for nothing."

My point exactly. Now we are all in the same place may have some impact on thses big forums....

...With this in mind, I am still here writing on your site simple because it's about web 2.0. Maybe targeted niche sites will become even more important ;-)

Anyway, I'm still refering people to you who express an interest in web 2.0 so keep up the great content.

Hey - I see in the comment above that I am a smaller time "guru" (quotes in the original) - I like that!

I'm having the exact experience you mentioned Jack - although I was using Facebook a bit more than you already - I am getting some "Reese Juice" since I am apparently a "smaller known" guru of some medium importance! LOL

The important thing for me - is that some very attractive girls are apparently fooled by my ultru cute profile photograph (actual photo) and the dating requests are pouring in.

Now that's the kind of 1000 True Fans I like!

Back to replying to the gals...

"I’m not big on getting on these websites just to create massive “friends lists.” It seems more of an ego thing than anything else. “Look at me! I have 5,000 friends!” No you don’t."

I think all levels of friends have a purpose. See my recent review of a post on <a href="http://www.jackhumphrey.com/fridaytrafficreport/friday-traffic-report/5-levels-of-social-media-relationships/" rel="nofollow">The 5 Levels of Social Media Relationships</a> to see what I mean.

I think everyone is excited and many don't know what's going on and they are making mistakes. Others are outright spamming to take advantage of the riot. It all shakes out in the end though with social marketing. Not so true in areas like search engine marketing.

"Do you think this will have any effect on Forums such as warrior given all are now in the same place and can communicate openly instead of behind the safety of their PC?"

Thanks for the nudge, Jack. I was lucky to get on John's list early because I've been a subscriber ever since I've been on the internet. I've been on Facebook since last August but I haven't done much with it, other than meet some nice people. (Not such a terrible thing!)

If you say it's gonna be important, and John says it's gonna be important, then I better get busy studying how to Facebook correctly!

Have a great weekend!
Brennan
