Len is right. The “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” box in Options>>Writing needs to be checked. That is the fix for any formatting issues you have.

As for tagging there is no way to tell Wordpress to apply tags. There is nothing in their API and it can’t really be hacked. Other blogging programs out there (aka BlogJet) may have tag functionality built in but it doesn’t work. I know it’s a pain, but that’s the case unfortunately.

Hopefully Wordpress will build in access to the tags in their posting editor. If you want to see what we use to talk to your Wordpress blog do a search for the MetaWebLog API.

To this date, Wordpress doesn’t have an API that interacts with posts. They have one for pages, but not for posts. Weird right?

I think you are right. Brandon does have, somewhere in the material you get when you purchase TrackBoost, instructions on one of the settings in Wordpress.

I bet that’s the one you are talking about. Now you’re getting all techy on me and he set mine up for me, so I can’t be 100% sure.

I will have him address this issue here just to be sure.

Just before you post back to your blog from TrackBoost, copy that line of tags from your actual blog post and paste it into the bottom of your TrackBoost post.

Your tag line will be there just as before. This is a bug we’re working on that happens with some blogs and not others. (It happens on mine and that’s the method I use to get around it.)

Been going through my old posts using trackboost and it’s great! I found an interesting bug and a feature request for you. If my post already has tags entered, when I add the links and republish it removes my tags. Not 100% – but more than 50% of the time.

Also, is there a way going forward to work with draft posts? I tend to prepare a number of posts on the weekend because of a hectic work schedule. I can see the drafts in trackboost and add links, but hitting Publish makes them live (ugh).

At this point we don’t have a solution for the tagging issue. It is something I also would like resolved, but at this point I have to do the same as you and edit tags through WP Admin.

These are wonderful tools. They are life changing. I just didn’t know I was dreaming of them!

Is it possible to add the tagging feature in Trackboost ? I find it rather troublesome to write post in Trackboost and log into the WP Dashboard for the sake of adding tags only.
