Its a nice concept. I've always believed that when you managed to create a strong team of folks who are working together for similar cause then you can end up achieving way more then you could ever have individually no matter how good you are.

I guess Power linking follows the same concept too.

well my 2 cents anyway ...

Two things that make SPL invaluable:

1. Jack's hands -on personal involvement. You get a pro like Jack popping into the Forum, personally giving your blog link-love, and sharing his insights. I learn... and apply... something from each and every one of Jack's Forum posts.

2. SPL attracts social marketing thought leaders. (see Andy's post above)

Learn and watch what the best in the business are doing.

Then do it too!

Imagine what you could do if you were plugged into the leading social marketing mastermind community online?

Walt Goshert's last blog post..“Homer Simpson” Discovers Secret to Boosting Personal Productivity

Jack:

I like how you teach with integrity by telling people they need to be responsible with web 2 marketing and become a full participant in the web 2 sites activity.

This is likely the most effective method as well.

To a great 2008

Hi Jack

One great thing about that method is totally owning your own SERP, but it is not just your own pages saying great things about you, but also other people.
Often you will find people looking for more information will scan past SERP results which are obviously controlled by you looking for information from 3rd parties.

I have made a habit of strengthening my incoming links by promoting articles that link to me in social media of various kinds, plus it is a great way to leave a quick "thanks" rather than doing it in the comment box.
