Signed up for this keyword tracker the other day called “Rockin SEO.” It’s pretty neat. It is free for up to 20 keywords. That isn’t super stingy (compared to similar tools) about how much you can do before you must upgrade. I like that.
Rockin SEO produces simple graphs of where you rank for keywords you put into it along with your URL, of course. It also allows you to compare yourself and your competitors for the same keywords. And it monitors rankings over time, free. Pretty cool there too. Always nice to see where you stack up to the competition.
I wish it had the ability to simply tell you where you rank in the engines for your “theme” rather than making you come up with your list of keywords to check. No tool is an island when it comes to keyword tracking. They all have pros and cons. And you can’t really complain about free keyword tools like this, which are usually better than most of the paid keyword tracking tools of just a year or more ago.
All in all, this is a fun, simple, easy to use keyword tracking tool. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Thanks for this great resource. I have been trying to increase my pagerank for individual listings (posts) and my front page for marketing real estate in Evergreen and Denver Colorado– as you can imagine I have some fierce competition for well trafficked keywords. Half the time I can’t even find my site in results! This is just what I’ve been looking for!

Hi Jack,
As always, your finds are Rockin… but this time it even says Rockin SEO
This is one of the coolest little tools I have seen a while… and as always, free is better
Put in the top 3 in competition to see how OSA stacked up
Thanks again Jack…

I recently found myself with a copy of KW Elite. In your opinion…is this the end all/be all of KW tools as it is touted?

re: Keyword Elite – It is definitely up there among the few really good keyword tools in my book. “End all be all?” That’s a scary term to use for ANY software, lol. it makes you sound like a Mac user.
(I kid the Mac users, really!)
“it makes you sound like a Mac user”
Sure Jack, insult a new reader why don’t ya! (Also kidding Mac users…sorta)
OK then I guess I won’t ask, “since I have SEO elite and KW elite, I don’t have to download any of the other 12456759 free friggin tools out there (much less another paid one)”, right?

Dennis – can you really ever have enough tools? This one’s free and far simpler in what it does than the tools you have. Just an interesting tool.
Thanks great service. I was using sheer seo but my free time ended.
