Here are some other equipment choices people may want to check out. Top 4 Equipment Choices to Improve Your Podcast Recordings. Podcast recording equipment is a very personal thing, so they are only suggestions, of course.

I have seen your system and it is great. If you are using it for podcast well it can, the audio is clear and I do not hear much noise.

However, your system can be quite costly. One can build a a decent system at a lower price, all they is need is a single PC with a single monitor, powered with at least decent sound cards and mixer like Creative Audigy and Behringer Mixer, which these two won't cost that much. Of course, you need a microphone.

Connect the mic to the behringer mixer and then the mixer to the sound card, and their you have a high quality audio system which can be used for podcasting or even web casting.

Regarding audio softwares, it is possible to connect those audio interfaces with open source/free audio recording software such as: Audacity.
