Performancing Blog Advertising Network Promising

by Jack Humphrey on Nov 4

Performancing.com is a new, promising ad network for bloggers and advertisers who want to get in front of passionate blog readers.

For Bloggers

Performancing is an easy way to [tag-tec]monetize[/tag-tec] your blog without having to do the work of getting in front of possible advertisers.  The network seems to be growing at a  good rate and as it does, it gets closer to being a one-stop-shop for advertisers in a huge varietey of niches, markets, and reach.

This means that more and more advertisers will pick up ad buys through Performancing and bloggers will have ad space sold faster and more regularly.

Auto-Pricing Feature

This is a neat feature of Performancing that allows the blog owner to stay out of the pricing process.  You can set your own monthly price for ads on your site, but leaving auto pricing on will calculate (based on page views) the value of your spot automatically and competitively.

This seems to be working well for The Friday Traffic Report so far, although I will likely test manual pricing to see if Performancing calculations for my market niche are on the money or not.

The tradeoff is that I could  get higher per-advertiser rates if I sold them myself, but since I don’t have to do any of the work I get to spend more time on my content and driving traffic and less on selling ad space.

Payout

Performancing pays blog owners 70% of the monthly ad revenue generated on their blogs.  It’s a fair rate for the work that they are doing to get our blogs in front of as many advertisers as possible in all markets.

For Advertisers

A one-stop-shop to get into very competitive pricing for the blogosphere.  Getting into a new ad network generally means the pricing hasn’t “settled” yet and great deals can be found.

And these are not simple text links.  You get a good-sized graphic ad above the fold on most of the network.  (Example is in upper left corner of this blog.)
