New Link Building Plugin for Bloggers

by Jack Humphrey on Mar 27

A new Wordpress plugin is out that not many people know about yet.  But it is going to be very well known in the coming weeks.  It’s just that badass.  It is quality link building on autopilot without spamming!

Remember the days of old link directories?

The biggest downfall of those is Google could ignore them easily.  And no one ever read them.  So they were purely for the manipulation of Google.  No good.

So how does a blogger swap links in a way Google loves, people click, and within their blog and not off to the side in a dark corner of a link directory?

Enter “Related Websites.”

Instead of just having your own related posts listed under your blog posts, this plugin allows you to show off related articles on other blogs in your niche.   As you know, when you link to other blogs, you get trackback links from them.  But with Related Websites, you get put into the cloud and people who blog about similar topics to you will show you off in THEIR related websites list!

The code has been cracked:  The links are relevant.  They are “in content” which is the most valuable link Google can pick up according to Matt Cutts, and there’s nothing spammy about it.  Furthermore, your readers get to check out relevant content and love you for recommending it.

You can replace your related posts widget with related websites as it also allows you to show your rcommended posts from your own blog in addition to other sites.

Results

Kevin, the programmer of the plugin, is getting incredible feedback from users of this plugin.  Some are reporting as much as a 20% increase in traffic from using it.

Best of all, it’s totally free!

I recommend downloading and using this plugin on your blog – BIG time!

I did not find a place to download the plugin.
What I found is that I was linked to a page that charges me good money to buy a Theme.
I read that it was free.
Any of you to explain or giving me a good link?
Thanks,
lussin

How is this different from Reese’s Blogrush? Which had too little related web sites in my niche so really only took traffic away because it advertised somewhat unrelated blogs.

I do like to select the posts manually I think I’m going to consider very seriously using this plugin as the “old fashion” is quite time consuming.

Greetings fellow long time Warrior!
You wrote:
“As you know, when you link to other blogs, you get trackback links from them.”

I didn’t know that… so if we link to a related blog who’s gonna make sure they give us a trackback…
perhaps a better question would be this:
“what is a trackback and why do I want one?”

If I’d have known this was a good thing I would have enabled the ‘related blogs’ thingy in feedburner when I do feedflare

obviously I need to learn more…

Jack Humphrey Jun 13 at 5:48 am

@David- If you link to a blog post on another blog, given that it is an up-to-date blog, the owner gets a note that someone has commented. Just as if you’ve commented directly on their blog. When they log in to moderate, they see it was a trackback, that you’ve talked about them on your site. They come check out what you wrote, and if they like it, they approve your trackback as a comment on their post.

Instead of “David Bruce Jr. showing up as tthe link back to your site, it will use the title of the post you linked from. So if your title is Web Promotion Strategies, the link back to your site from their comment area will be Web Promotion Strategies and then a snippet from the post.

The reason trackbacks are powerful is you get keyword anchor text that is more valuable than your name, which is how you signed your comment here.

Direct commenting: Your name is the link back to your site.
Trackback linking: The title of the post in which you linked to the blogger’s post is the link back to you, and it links directly to the post where you linked out.

Does this work for all blogs you link to? No. Depends on how good a blog you’re linking to. If the owner isn’t using the latest blog software, like Wordpress 2.7-2.8, they aren’t getting notified of trackbacks. But they probably aren’t good bloggers anyway, therefore the link wouldn’t mean much in the first place.

Do all trackbacks get approved by the blogger you link to? No. Bloggers are all different. The general rule is that you reward people who link to you as long as they are saying positive thhings about you, and you approve the trackback/comment. Some bloggers are really weird and don’t do this. Again, they probably are of no account if they don’t know the etiquette, so you aren’t losing anything if you link to them and they don’t approve the trackback. They’re just butt heads and you move on.

Hi.. I’m Dudi from Jayapura, Papua – Indonesia.
I’ve made a new blog few days ago. Honestly, that’s my first blog writed in English. I feel lucky find this blog which have many tutorials for newbie like me..

I’m sorry because my English is not perfect like others. I’ve tried my best.. . regard :-)

Jeff Nov 13 at 4:49 pm

Well unfortunately, I was denied a key because I don’t have enough posts on my blog. I thought that’s what this was for.. to help build up traffic?! Seems strange to me, as nobody else using the plugin would surely care if a related site had a lot of traffic yet, but… I guess I’ll not get to try this one out.
Cheers…

Just found this, Thanks Jack, this looks like it will be awesome. I just hope I can get aproved, since it is a fairly new blog, without a lot of traffic yet. Looks to be a valuable asset though in the long term. thanks for sharing with us
