My Pages Aren’t Getting Indexed!

User Generated Question from FTR reader Harold at Potato Chef

Hi, I have a potato recipe site. One of the categories in the site is: “Potato Soup”. I have posted 10 or so recipes in that category. All of them are indexed in Google except 3. The ones I posted before those 3 are indexed and the ones I posted after those three are indexed. But those 3 just won’t index.

There is nothing different or special about those 3. Do you suggest I delete those posts and then repost them? Do you have any idea why that problem might be occuring? I know that is not a lot of info but really there is not a lot of info about it.
Would appreciate your help…
Thanks,
Harold

Harold,

There are a couple things you can do. No need to repost!

1. Go to Pingomatic.com and ping those three individual pages. If it gives you the “whoa you’re submitting too fast” crap, then go to Pingoat.com and finish up.
2. Get some links directly to those 3 pages from your social accounts and blogging friends. Recipe people abound on the web and they’d love to throw you a good link for a good recipe.

Once Google finds those posts through the pinging and linking you should be good to go.

Good advice – I would love to hear from the originator if the advice was followed and if it had the desired effect.

I second that. Did it work?
