In a meeting this week with our senior programmer I brought up a little bug in a project we’re working on. We were on a conference call and I tried to descrbe what was happening on my screen.
He told me to go to Mikogo and download their free app. I was thinking “We have a lot more to do. I can’t spend 30 minutes setting up some new app for him to look at my desktop. Might as well log into our GoToWebinar account for this!”
Right there, on the phone with my partners, with a full agenda of things to work on beyond this relatively minor problem, I was sharing my desktop. In 3 minutes I had downloaded and registered the tiny app, and started a desktop sharing session with my programmer.
From now on, the first place any of us are going to go for super fast desktop sharing is our Mikogo app!

There are tons of uses for desktop sharing where setting up a whole GoToWebinar meeting would be far too cumbersome. It would also be like bringing a gun to a knife fight.
Mikogo is something to check out if you have desktop sharing needs or want to be a better support person, consultant, or service provider for clientele.
