Mike, no idea how you pulled this off. You know he’s not even supposed to be talking to you after winning a Grammy. You’re just common folk!
To see my buddy Mike Stewart with Herbie Hancock, check out Mike’s blog.
Unbelievable…
I was talking to Mike in the fall about all kinds of great things he’s working on. He was name dropin’ like nobodies business and after awhile I was like “ok Mike, I was with you until you mentioned Snoop Dogg. Cut it out!”
I guess I am eating my words now. Mike really IS connected.
He’s also one of the most knowledgeable audio/video guys on the planet. You should read his blog if you are interested in improving your chops for the web that is to come: the audio video heavy web! (If you think its heavy now, you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!)

I stand corrected. Mike Stewart has a Grammy! I’m not kidding. Mike get in here and fill us in!
Jack,
You cut you me to quick! Common folk! Gezz. Just kiddin’ bustin chops, bro.
Thanks for posting my Herbie connection.. I have been in music biz all my life and I am go to LA to help my fellow musicians. I wanted to prove to the music industry that all we teach and preach, they have to pay attention to. Through music buds of mine, I got to meet Herbie back in January and I always carry my netcam with me in my pocket. Herbie got it that night and I asked for a testimonial, not even know he was up for a Grammy. Then he won!
As a blogger, what better day to post my testimonial from someone who was in the news. All a part of the authority strategies you teach and I support.
I only do what all of those trying build authority with the web need to.
Rock on and all the best.. More to come. Your pal Mike
A couple of months ago in my neighborhood video shop I was psych’d to find a documentary on Herbie (and I live in Taiwan, so it was totally unexpected). I am not 100% on this but it might have been about his making the album which earned the Grammy. He works with a wide assortment of artists in the video, and the film is casual, intimate, full of great practice sessions and just a total delight. Way to go Herbie! And lucky find for me to open your newsletter today, Jack. The link to Mike’s blog is something I have been looking for, methinx. I am just getting my site together, and in the process of incorporating my learning curve it’s great to bump into synchronicity once again. To celebrate, I am gonna put on “Perfect Machine” and dance around in the livingroom. Yeah!!!!
