This is a problem I keep bringing up with my managers. I keep telling them that just because a term has millions of searches doesn't mean it's gonna bring in the money. But they insist. Despite earlier failures due to the same judgment. It's annoying me.

I use hittail also. This is such a killer program for any level webmaster looking to make their website a fun, unique website with relevant information.

Thanks for the traffic you've sent to us. You've been a great friend to HitTail. We hope you're the long tail keyword tool you're looking for, and invite you to provide feedback either here, on our forum or directly to me.

I'm having the same problems you guy's have.

I can generate thousands of keywords, and dig down and keep digging to get really specific...

But I need longtail intelligence, on what folks are actually searching on.

While this is slightly off topic, I did find an awesome tool that lets you spy on your competitor called "Competition Dominator"

Made by the same good people who made keyword analyzer

[...] Sorry for the lack of blog posts. I’ll try to get back into the swing of things. Meanwhile, here’s another longtail keyword article that voices the need for HitTail better than I ever could have…Today’s keyword research tools are simply worthless for finding long tail phrases that have search value.
Michel,

This looks very promising. Again it goes back to analyzing our own results and lucking into good phrases by writing for our market.

I use MyBlogLog.com to even know what those phrases are. Not even Webalizer or AWSTATS give you good data on long tail.

This one looks to be purposefully focused on long tail so I will be looking to see if I can triangulate data from MyBlogLog, log files, and HitTail and report back!

Thanks!
