Midtown Lunch is a blog dedicated to finding good, interesting, and cheap lunch in the food wasteland of New York City’s Midtown Manhattan. The site was launched by Zach Brooks in June of 2006, but has grown into a large community of like minded eaters, searching for the best lunch Midtown has to offer. With very few exceptions, all the lunches on the site cost under $10 and are located within the boundaries of 32nd Street to the South, Central Park South to the North, 3rd Avenue to the East, and 8th Ave. to the West.
Now that’s hyperlocal! Zach was recommended to me by Gary Vaynerchuk as one of his favorite bloggers, and, after talking with Zach, I can see why. If you want to peer into the life of a local blogger with a hyperlocal, specific market, this is your chance!

That was a fantastic interview. I love how you not only have a successful blogger, but you found as you went along how many niches or types of blogs he fits into, such as the hyperlocal.
Great interview, and can’t wait to hear more cool things from Zach!
Pretty interesting interview. However I think in order to blog locally, it’s best to be part of the location, that way you are a true part of that location and know what’s going on and can connect with your audience better.
Under $10 is all I really need to hear.
