Google likes tagging…proof abounds!

by Jack Humphrey on Jul 4

So I was checking my traffic logs and noticed someone had just come in to the FTR from Google using the search term “article syndication directories.”

This always makes me think I’d better check and see if they found me in the top ten or not, so I went to Google and did the same search.

There I found my latest post on article syndication was picked up and placed at #8 (at the time of this post).

Pleasant feeling.

Be sure to check out the URL Google is actually pointing to:

www.jackhumphrey.com/fridaytrafficreport/ index.php?tag=article-syndication

Now, would you think I would be in #8 if the all important keyword “article syndication” was not at the end of the actual URL as a result of tagging all my posts?

I wouldn’t care to wager.  Would much prefer to keep tagging and pinging and let the goodness keep rolling on in.

I was going to post the post in question regardless of the possible search engine position I got out of it.

But the extra passive traffic I can pick up from engines is great too!

Blogging without tagging is like scuba diving without fins – not much fun at all!
