		<description>As an SEO/SEM firm, we do a fair bit of directory link submitting for our clients as a way to boost their links, and I can definitely confirm that the value of those links has been steadily dropping in the last 6 months.

In fact, with 1 recent client, we submitted individual link requests to over 400 search engine friendly directories in this year, and less than 30 links now show up in Yahoo Site Explorer!

A pretty sad state of affairs eh?

Guess it&#039;s back to quality content creation &amp; publication again eh? :-) lol 

Seriously though, MOST directories are a waste of time these days. Useful perhaps for getting a new site spidered, but not worth too much time &amp; effort for valuable link building.

If you thought u could cheat the system, you were wrong!
