I took a second look at Google Friend Connect recently and see some good blog promotion tools. Like a Newsletter widget, Polls, A top or bottom bar. I am putting some of these into play and will see what happens.

Jack, Just ran across this in a trackback on Google. I wanted to give you the heads up that Friend Connect is going live on Blogger any day now. The Followers widget is actually Friend Connect, it just depends on what code Google feeds the widget. I have caught Google testing Friend Connect for a few hours late at night but then it is gone and we wait impatiently for Google to pull the last piece out of the hat connect friends. I did a preemptive release article about it over at CMSWire.com just the other day.

It seems like the guys at Google and Facebook have been having lunch together!
