Google Backlinks Reporting Just Got Better

by Jack Humphrey on Feb 6

David at Affiliate Profit Center has some good tips today about new features in the Google Webmaster Central for checking backlinks to your site.

At issue is always what Google counts and doesn’t count as links to your site. (It is always a smaller number than the actual links pointing to your site.)

With the new tools in Google Webmaster Central you can get a better view of what’s going on, who is linking, and, according to David, better results than simply doing the link:mywebsite.com thing in the Google search bar.

Check out David’s post and find out how to get a free account if you don’t have one, and where to go to find this new backlink information.

That’s great. I’m looking forward to finding out more about my backlinks. Thanks for the tip. Heading over to my Google account right now.

That’s good to know! I use Webmaster Tools and was starting to keep track of my backlinks on there – but was wondering a bit about the accuracy as well.
