Rupert Murdoch sure is getting a lot of free attention by merely being an idiot.  If only it were as easy for the rest of us.

“Sorry Rupert, but newspapers aren’t going to increase anytime soon and up-and-coming blogs and media companies aren’t going away. Maybe we were wrong about you seeing something in the WSJ model. Maybe you just don’t understand how media has been fundamentally altered by the web.”  -Mashable

The Simple Approach Nov 25 at 1:09 am

Hit the nail on the head Jack. There are a small minority of journalist who do “get it” and manage to combine traditional journalism and internet publishing. In UK people like Jeremy Clarkson ( very funny) and Stephen Fry ( allegedly over 2 million followers on twitter)- read that again 2 million! Imagine him saying “Hey my new books available now” etc. The UK Telegraph does a very good job of supplying news via rss feed which is usefull to many, such as myself who travel a lot. I think as IM marketers we do not explain/ promote rss enough. Most people have no idea what an RSS reader is and are amazed when they see my Feedreader and how much information it gathers for me on a daily basis.- Rob
