FriendFeed Webinar Replay

by Jack Humphrey on May 7

We had a pretty serious webinar last night on what I’ve been doing with FriendFeed, Twitter, Disqus, and other services to build links and following.

The responses have been really cool.  I appreciate all the feedback and questions everyone on the call generated to my Twitter account, lol.  That was truly wild.  I will surely be expanding on all that was discussed last night as I learn more from testing more things.

If you have questions or comments, this would be the place for them!

This was a great webinar Jack, confusing but great.

lol – I thought so too! I love that it can still be considered great even though it was confusing. :) Thanks!

I actually joined friendfeed months ago, piped in a few feeds, and forgot about it. For the last few weeks I have been getting emails every day that new people are following me. I checked it out yesterday and had hundreds of people subscribed. I don't even know how they found it, until today I didn't even have a link on my site.

The magic of just being there. Now imagine what will happen when you are active on FriendFeed! It's pretty damned cool.

Facebook has made it impossible to find your own status feed URL. Do you know a way to find it for inclusion in friend feed? I signed up for Disqus but haven't activated the plugin yet, this conversation has convinced me to go ahead and do that. I like it!

    Hi Jack

Sorry I missed the live show, but I appreciate the download. I8'm sure I'll learn some great stuff from watching. Speaking of watching, once again I'm #10 for John Reese after an hour
thanks to your great teachings on the Traffic Report.

    Thanks again

    Hey Jack!

This was an on time webinar for
me because I’ve been desiring to
    intergrate my processes to flow
    together.

With ALL the social book marking
    and stuff… This is hot!

I watched it again tonight and went
through to get everything on point. I
had few user errors. So I’ll do more
posting on my blog and Twitter.

I’ll be able to bring more value to all my
    followers EVERYWHERE! ;o)

    Awesome,
    CF-

    One quick question,

Which site do I post from to
have my message hit all of
    my social sites like LinkedIn,
    Facebook…?

I did it from FriendFeed and
it just hit Twitter. Did I miss
    something. I thought FriendFeed
was the hub that serviced all
    the other sites. Right?

Or is that on the Ping.fm, which
    relates to one’s main blog/website?

    Very Interesting,
    CF-

C.F. – Ping.fm is the hub for all the microblogs and places like Facebook and LinkedIn. The WordPress plugin to automatically update ping.fm is called pingpressfm. Thanks for the feedback! Keep me posted!

Great webinar Jack , I setup FriendFeed a while back but other than setting up some services haven’t actively started using it. Looks like a great way to generate traffic while updating your other services. Thanks you :)

I still haven’t figured out how you can get your twitter, etc. to update just by liking something on your friendfeed. Any hints?

    • http://www.jackhumphrey.com/ Jack Humphrey

@Jeffrey – go into your settings at FriendFeed and there should be a Twitter control area in your account which sets up Twitter/FriendFeed to talk to each other. It’s not adding Twitter to FreindFeed – there should be a control that asks you if you want to feed FriendFeed activity TO Twitter. That’s what you’re after.

Yeah, finally figured it out… these things take some massaging

    Hi!

Is there any chance in hell to get this webinar?
I am coming from Ignition Program, from your “free traffic” presentation.

The link does not work anymore.

    • http://www.jackhumphrey.com/ Jack Humphrey

Link updated above direct to webinar. Thanks!

    Jack,

Thanks for re-uploading the video. I will watch it with enthusiasm :)
You did a great presentation in Ignition, I love it. I own WordPress blog myself, and your presentation was very welcome to me.

In fact, I’d like to share a great WordPress plugin for you that will help you to track every person & page on your WordPress blog, it has last spiders, last human visits, last search terms for particular page, last referrers, last agents all this combined with a nice graphical representation & OTHER interesting functions, like IP Spy, Details Section for all visits and more …. If you have not install this free plugin you should, it is worth checking it out. It is called, “StatPress.” I will Google it for you, http://tinyurl.com/2v82fmx.

Also, thanks for the comment’s gift, great stuff! By the way this is a great marketing strategy to expand your list.

I may implement this technique myself :)

Thanks will check out that plugin. Thanks for the feedback!
