Free Service, Blogger Linkup, Gives You Content and Links

by Jack Humphrey on Apr 20

Cathy Stucker is onto something. She should be, she’s known as the “Idea Lady” after all!

She’s created a new, free service for bloggers targeting two of their main concerns: constant content production and getting links.

blinkupI’ve written about guest posting here a number of times, but it can be a real chore getting people who are willing to write for your blog. Until you are truly mega famous, you aren’t going to have people dropping high quality, original posts on your doorstep for your exclusive use.  It’s also no picnic getting other bloggers to accept your guest post proposal.  Who would have thought offering to give away great, original content would be so hard?

That’s where Cathy’s new group comes in. It is an extremely simple, but much needed service for bloggers. Blogger Linkup focuses on organizing bloggers to exchange or offer content and links to each other.

It is nothing more than an email list organized and run specifically to put requests out to the group from bloggers who need content and bloggers who want to guest post for others.

Guest posting increases traffic.

You get to be in front of another blogger’s following with an implied endorsement of your expertise.

Offering your blog as a place for guest posters to submit their work increases your daily content production.

The more you update your blog, the more traffic you get as well as increasing your chances to score in the engines for new keywords.

Placing yourself in the middle of a network of bloggers who are all motivated to do or receive guest posts increases your chances of getting more frequent guest posters and/or getting your expertise in front of a lot more people with links back to your blog or other type of site.

Give the service a try. And be sure to thank Cathy for stepping up and providing it in the first place. It’s a valuable thing!

This seems like an awesome service. I have always enjoyed guest posting and saw some great results when I did it for Problogger. It can really help get new readers and backlinks.

I’m off to check it out right now. From what you said it sounds like an awesome service that will benefit bloggers a lot. I do quite a bit of guest posting and it definitely is difficult to find quality blogs that accept them. This will make it much easier.

This sounds alot like FTS(FreeTrafficSystem) which I’m surprised you guys weren’t already using?

I guess one more place like this -which I term as a “guest post exchange system”- won’t hurt and can only help!
