Fighting Inbox Bloat and Distraction

Is your business suffering from information overload?

Let’s face it folks, there are a lot of distractions out there when it comes to building an online business.

One of the most common problems online business owners face right now is an email inbox that gets bloated with so many messages that promise fast riches to the point where your email client is screaming for mercy!

Because inbox bloat is so distracting and overwhelming, you are wasting too much of your valuable time surfing and far too little time working on the things that actually make you money.

What you’re doing now hasn’t made you rich, so you move on to the next project.

You wake in the morning to a barrage of false promises in your mailbox full of the latest, greatest “secret strategies”: new ways to drive traffic, boost conversions, or how you can make a million bucks in the next 24 hours.

Online marketers are notorious for having a short attention span – we tend to be adrenaline junkies that move on to the next exciting project before the one we are working on has been take to fruition.

(From Jack: I suffered from this disease for a couple years before I got focused!)

What you actually need are more customers with credit cards in hand, buying your products or enlisting your services.

To get more cash in hand customers navigating to your shopping cart you MUST take two simple actions:

1. Focus on one process AND one project only until it is complete.

2. To get maximum earnings in your business you must deploy effective sales models.

This is where most people choke and it is all those inbox overload messages that promise you riches beyond your wildest dreams.

There are a lot of choices on the market today

So many choices are at our fingertips and because of the myriad of choices we become victims of “analysis paralysis”.

The key to success is to finish what you started and not avoid succumbing to the distractions of the bright, colorful things swirling promises of instant wealth around us.

Another key to success is to build accountability.

When left on your own, you can find a million things to do besides work on your business. A partner, coach or just another marketer can provide a sounding board to work though problems.

They can also force action. When you know you have to tell someone about the things you didn’t get done, they tend to magically get done. Coaching, whether in a group setting or one on one, can make a huge difference.

There are a lot of plans out there that work. Make sure you find a role model and stick with them but it IS imperative that you find a mentor with a proven track record.

Once you have found a mentor that has set seemingly complicated business systems in place to live a “free and clear” model of living, follow that mentor, and stick with that person until you get the same success.

When you learn from a model of success it IS amazing how many “ah ha” moments you will have to grow your profitability at an exponential pace.

Great advice Colin.

I know I suffer from inbox bloatation and have to go down the list
from time to time and just flush it clean. Only to have it come back again and again.
