Podcast Introduction…
You know how the web has turned all of us into A.D.D. poster children? There’s Facebook, Twitter, the blogs you try to follow, YouTube, email, and 1000 other things pulling at us the very instant we log on everyday.
It’s the same with everyone who uses the web, across the board. And as more and more marketers vie for an ever more fractured attention span of the average web user, it gets tougher and tougher to grab someone’s attention long enough to sell them something.
It’s a jungle out there! You’ve noticed it not only in your own experience surfing, running a business, and trying to keep all the balls in the air. Everyone else complains of the same thing, even if they aren’t 1/2 as busy as you. It’s all relative. They also don’t spend a fraction of the time online that you and I do trying to market to them.
We’re living in a major eBubble. An embarrassment of riches with free information, games, networking, sharing, email, video, and status updates coming out of our ears.
As we deal with the ever shrinking attention span of our customers, some people are figuring out ways to get more marketing “mind share” elsewhere.  Since we cannot make more time, there has to be another place and time we can get in front of our customers in a more focused setting.  Some “place” that 9 out of 10 people consider more precious to them than their computers, iPads, laptops and MP3 players COMBINED. Their phones.
60 million iPhone users. About the same number of Droid enabled smart phones. Everyone greedily guarding their precious communication and information retrieval devices on trains, busses, planes and in their cars.

	Chris Lang, Gadget MVP

You know the feeling. One need only think of Schmiegel from Lord of the Rings and his “Precious.”
What if you could put your entire network of sites, social profiles and updates, and video content on such a very precious thing? And what if useful things like your opt in form and links direct to your product or service traveled along with all your content?
Can you imagine what it would mean to be on the opening screen of smart phone users well-healed enough to spend the money on those things? Think you could find good, willing customers in a crowd of 120,000,000 smart phone addicts?

	Jack Humphrey

In my interview with Chris Lang, developer of Gadget MVP, I find out what the future of marketing looks like. And with what Chris has invented, the future is today.
This interview should rank as one of the most important 40 minutes you’ll spend in all of 2011. Click the “Play” button below to listen in:
