Charging less is a quick answer for consumers, but the lasting affects on the producers that work a wage, more than likely under their country's minimum wage, make the lesser price not worth the amount. Ethics over greed.

Value in products has always been the most important. Everyone knows, you pay for cheap, you get cheap. I think the price becomes more reasonable to you once you know how much value you will get out of it.

"Fair Trade items may be a little higher than what you would usually find on the shelves, but this is only because the big companies want to make a profit off the hard word of children, paying them next to nothing for each product they make by hand, day in and day out.

Fair Trade Sports joined the battle against Child Labor by only selling products made by adult stitchers who are paid a third-party certified living wage, certified by the Fair Trade Labeling Organization International, for their work. "

The price is not the issue. The customers do not look at the price as much as they look at the value that the product will provide. One copywriter told me that people do not look at the price they look at the value and then decide whether they want to buy or not.
