I just read Dean's Web Traffic Orgasm. It's incredible how easy it can be to land the front page of Digg. With a little imagination, creativity, and maybe a little humor... I think anyone can do it.

I thought Web Traffic Orgasm was a great piece on copywriting for the new web.

I found it inspiring as well because what I get from it is to let go, have fun, be yourself, and try to provide something entertaining, interesting, or of great value to readers.

I know you already got this ages ago Jack. I'm a little slow on the uptake.

Chris,

This is a great article. This is particularly apt for anyone who works with copy writing. Headlines and content always matter. If your post is interesting and worthwhile, you are always going to get more interest. Spammy articles and content don't do you any credit.

I have seen this with my site where we always try to publish interesting articles, but the response is always better with some time spent on getting the headline right.

Thanks for publishing this study!

Regards

Wow! I had no idea there was a Digg algorithim. I just figured that it was base donthe number of votes. After reading the article it makes so much sense that Digg has an algorithim - it makes the front page articles so much more relevant and free of spam sites.

Learning that the algoritim is so complicated made me feel a bit discouraged to think how difficult it will for anyone to get an article on the front page. But at the same time it gives me hope that the algorithim gives little guy the same opportunity as the gurus to get there.

Thanks for sharing this article with us
