I am convinced if you manage your blog research with the proper tools, (Google Alerts, RSS readers, etc.) you can’t have too many [tag-tec]blog promotion[/tag-tec] resources at your disposal.
StuntDubl has a great list here that should be added to your arsenal.

I still don’t understand this long tail keyword thing.
Is that just a long Keyword phrase?
Long Tail refers to keywords that are not individually high traffic, high search keywords, but in large groups, these keywords can bring you more traffic than going after the top 10 keywords in your niche.
So yes they CAN be the longer ones and often are, but they are any keyword phrase that gets searched on less.
