Thanks for reporting that. We took down the PheedPress site and it is now forwarded to http://contentdesk.com/freestuff.html where the plugin is located. It has been renamed "Velocity Feeds" and is mid way down the list of downloads.

Homer,

Both the Free and Paid versions of PheedPress can be used across your entire site network. Its just suggested that you perform separate installs for each site; so not to mix up your Pheeds.

Hope this helps...

Jack,

This looks to be a very valuable plugin for the paid version - never mind the free version.

I have looked over the site but can not find the answer to one question I have... Is the plugin restricted to one site or can it be used across several sites I own? ( ... and is the answer different for the paid and the free versions?)

Jack said:
"It’s a REAL stupid strategy on their part, if it exists at all. Those guys love to leak information through “other people” all the time to keep spammers guessing so there’s no way to tell really what will or won’t bleed PR or if PR bleeding even exists to the extent that has been discussed all over the web."

This is very much true; although IF 'those guys' are utilizing their very expensive MIT degrees and sticking with "logic", then since the actual website and the RSS feed are essentially two different components of the whole... the PR in question should be that of the RSS feed and not the website.

If you have a PR indicator on your browser toolbar, you can sometimes see that the RSS feed has a PR ranking. Not that I've paid much attention to it, (like many, I prefer consuming feeds through a reader); but I can remember seeing instances of such.

I guess (then) maybe the question would morph into; "Who prefers viewing RSS feeds outside of their favorite reader? Do they pay more attention to the PR of the feed or are they looking to consume the content?"

Charlie,

The value is totally "buying out the advertising" at the bottom of your feeds.

As to PR bleeding, at first I was going to say not to worry, but then I realized that my PR went down from a 5 to a 4 2 rounds ago and I link like a madman to other sites.

That may be how Google rewards me for being helpful and relevant. So anymore I just don't know about PR bleeding and how Google determines when to dock for linking.

Many thanks Jack, this looks like a great bit of kit.

One question though. Do the ads bleed any PR? I am trying to assess how much value there is in the paid version.

Are you crazy? You've just given away the one ring that rules them all.

Jack, I don't think this world is ready for a plugin that grabs the SE's by the throat and directs them deep into your content yielding explosive exposure for keywords at every level, no matter the length of the tail.

Please everyone do not stare into the light, it's beam is laser focused and incomprehensible. Just knowing this tool is freely available makes me cry for your competition. I'm just thankful ASC has given me the advantage over FTR readers with the full version.
