It works. I wrote a lot many articles in the past and then stopped due to certain issues of time. With now those issues sorted I am going to redo it.

But as Jack highlighted, the game has changed but they are still relevant.

Yes, it still works, however you might want to watch the time factor. I don't spend as much time as I used to as there are more effective uses for it now. Ezinearticles is my #3 referrer of traffic to my main site. However, there is more method now than just slapping up an article. I started paying attention to what I was doing and raised my click through rate from 1-3% to 12-20%.

Also don't forget that traffic is only 1 of several reasons to use article marketing:

1. Links - internal links to your site
2. Establish authority in your niche
3. Generate a body of content to repurpose (mp3's, mini-courses, ebooks etc)
4. Traffic

I've only posted two articles so far on ezinearticles, but they are page one for important search terms, and the resource box of course points at my blog and my sales page.

Heck yeah it still works! I'm #1 for my main keyword on one of my websites with over 39,000,000 results and the ONLY link building I did was submitting to EzineArticles. Crap articles don't work. Really Good Quality Articles that people want to publish on their own site is what to shoot for.
