A new blog community to check out: BlogUpp.com

by Jack Humphrey on Mar 4

Just got a note from the owners of a new blog community called Blogupp.com. It looks like a traffic, link exchange program with a widget.

If you scroll over one of the two sites in the widget it shows a post snippet from your RSS feed behind the picture. That’s pretty neat and different.

Might be worth a test on your site to see if you can generate some more traffic with it. It certainly has a cool interface which is a refreshing departure.

Jack,

How do traffic exchange places like BlogRush, TrafficJam and this one make money? It may be obvious to everyone else, but not me.

Thanks – Robert

Usually they put themselves in the queue and benefit from the traffic like everyone else. You displaying the widget doesn’t get you 1:1 exchange. The network usually keeps some back for themselves to use for their interests, which drives traffic to their sites which are usually monetized.

Must say their exchange ratio of 10:9 is not that far from 1:1
that means for 10 displayed widgets, 9 go to us. Hope it’s indeed so.
Besides, that’s pretty simple using it. I’m giving it a try

Jack,

Thanks for the new direction. Will test this as well.

The BlogRush widget does a good job on my blog in terms of adding a little traffic, so I hope to see this one outperform that one.

I just added this to my blog. It was so easy and I hope it works as well as it says it will. I could use some more traffic coming over.
