Very nice post, i have already submitted my blog on several of the blog directories listed here. I will try the other sites you mentioned. Thanks for the time you created this list. My blog is new and it needs promoting.

I would recommend using special automatic software to add your site to multiple directories, it will save you some time.

Great list of blog directories. There are a whole bunch of blog directories out there, but having a listing in one may even hurt your rankings, but the blog directories you have listed are all of high quality.

I keep an up to date list of the different sites that rsssubmit and rssbot claim to submit to. The tools are awesome and it def beats a manual submit but Im still pretty surprised about how many of the sites no longer exist. Each time I check it seems 2 or 3 have dropped off the web or are no longer open to new submissions

5starblogs.com is no longer active any more. This is a great list. I especially like the local blogs list and immediately submitted one of my local blogs. One thing people may want to do is look at the blogs in these directories. I saw a lot of porn sites in some of the free directories that didn’t require a return link.
